The Eat Out to Help Out scheme is designed to encourage people to visit outlets, which have been badly hit by the lockdown.
The scheme will incentivise customers to eat in by giving them a 50% discount on food or non-alcoholic drinks to eat or drink in (up to a maximum of £10 discount per diner). As an outlet, you can then claim this back from the government. The scheme is UK wide and will drum up custom on Monday’s, Tuesday’s and Wednesday’s throughout August, which tend to be the quieter days of the week.

Who can register
You can register if your establishment:
- sells food for immediate consumption on the premises
- provides its own dining area or shares a dining area with another establishment for eat-in meals
- was registered as a food business with the relevant local authority on or before 7 July
