*Closed* Vacancy - Digital Assistant

Established in 1991, Caterforce is one of the biggest foodservice buying & marketing consortiums in the UK. We source products from a huge range of leading suppliers and manufacturers to support our eight leading independent foodservice wholesalers.

From our head office in Macclesfield, Cheshire we provide a central hub for our members supporting both their group buying needs and marketing resource, allowing suppliers to push out a consistent and coherent marketing plan nationwide, with just one point of contact.
 

We're seeking a skilled Digital Assistant to join our team and help improve our customers online shopping experience. In this role, you'll help us maintain our Product Information Management (PIM) database, manage our digital asset library, and post/update content on our website using our content management system.

 

Role & Responsibilities

In this role you will:

  • Collect product data from spreadsheets and enrich data inside the PIM.
  • Optimize images for e-commerce and web by resizing, compressing, and converting to various image formats.
  • Manage our existing digital asset library, upload new media, and use suitable keyword tags.
  • Publish and update product information, images & news content on our website using our content management system.
  • Conduct data manipulation, cleansing and standardisation to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness of data.
  • Assist the Information System Manager with testing and evaluating new technology.

 

Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel with knowledge of Excel formulas.
  • Have knowledge of image file types, their conversion, and compression techniques for web optimisation.
  • Be comfortable using a Content Management System (CMS) such as Wordpress or Drupal to publish content.
  • Have experience using MS365 tools such as Outlook, Word, Powerpoint & OneDrive.
  • Have excellent IT skills and an interest in working with data and images.
  • Have excellent attention to detail, good writing skills and a sound understanding of how to present products online to encourage customers to purchase.
  • Have willingness and ability to learn new systems quickly and efficiently.
  • Be able to effectively communicate and collaborate with team members and external suppliers in a professional manner.
  • Experience using a PIM (such as Akeneo or Pimberly) is a plus but not essential, as we will help you develop this skill.

 

Location and Work Arrangement:

This position is located in Macclesfield, UK and is a hybrid role.
